The 5th Annual AthElite Memorial Day Challenge (WIN FREE CUSTOM UNIFORMS!) Bluegrass Breeze 2032

Coaches, players, and fans--

Here are a few tournament reminders for this weekend’s AthElite Memorial Day Challenge:

Please be sure to double and triple check game times/court numbers/and opponents before the weekend. The schedule is FINAL but some changes have been made since the schedule released on Wednesday. We encourage sharing the Exposure Events app to follow along with scores and bracket placement rather than screenshots.




Be sure to check-in at team check-in before your first game. The table will be set up next to the ticket windows. Look for the "AthElite" tablecloths. We encourage getting to team check-in an hour early in case of delays. Players do not need to be present at team check-in, only coaches.

Each team will receive TWO wristbands for coaches. No one will be admitted without a wristband (players and referees must be in uniform to enter.) We provide scorekeepers/scoreboard operators so parents can enjoy. You are welcome to sit someone at the table if you have someone who usually does it.

At the end of each pool play game, a player of the game will be named. Be sure to take the player selected to the front banner for a photo to be posted on Facebook/Instagram @AthEliteAmerica.

Security will be on site all weekend.

We are excited to host teams from 8 states all under one roof at the Owensboro Convention Center at 501 W 2nd Street, Owensboro, Kentucky, 42301. We have a completely sold out event this weekend and look forward to hosting your team!

Here is some additional key information for the weekend:

Home teams are listed on TOP on the schedule.

Each team will receive two coaches wristbands at team check-in. Coaches must be present to receive wristband.

PLEASE double check your schedules between now and the weekend.

Winners of the CHAMPIONSHIP bracket in each division will receive official AthElite Custom Team Uniforms! Up to 10 per winning team.

Winners of each division at this weekend's AthElite Memorial Day Challenge will come out with custom team uniforms! After winning the championship, team coaches will be given a one-page order form to complete with sizes and colors for their team!

PLEASE NOTE: EACH WINNING TEAM IS CAPPED AT 10 UNIFORMS. ADDITIONAL UNIFORMS CAN BE PURHCASED.

Teams traveling to Owensboro on Friday are encouraged to check out Friday After 5 - a free event featuring several venues of entertainment, food trucks and a kid-friendly Street Fair! Teams from all over have taken advantage of this opening night event the last two years. No tickets. No fees. No kidding. All events are free! This is a great opportunity to get a "first-look" at the venue (from outside), size up some competition, and do some team bonding while on the road! Please share the info below with your teams and players!

The Jimmy Church Band

THE JIMMY CHURCH BAND has expanded its repertoire, broadening the band's base to provide a fresh new variety of shows and entertainment to reach more people. The band is a 10-piece entertainment entity. In addition to performing the loved classic sounds of Motown, Jimmy Church is so well known for, the new songs have been added into the show to also include well-known, loved selections from Pop to Rock 'N Roll. Everyone is sure to love the new shows of The Jimmy Church Band.

Music fills the air on the Owensboro Riverfront, along Veterans Blvd from the RiverPark Center, through the Park, the Overlook, and McConnell Plaza, up St Elizabeth and Locust, past the Owensboro Convention Center, to the Holiday Inn, with special events at the Bluegrass Museum backyard in downtown Owensboro, KY, an All-America City!

The fourth-annual AthElite Memorial Day Challenge will be held again at the state-of-the-art Owensboro Convention Center! Situated right on the scenic Ohio River and in close walking proximitiy to plenty of food, hotel, and entertainment options, the Owensboro Convention Center is a premiere venue for basketball!

The Owensboro Convention Center has a few basic guidelines that they have shared with us to ensure a succesful weekend. The Owensboro Convention Center will allow athletes to bring in a single bottle of water only for the event, but other guests aren't allowed to bring in food or beverages. Concessions are available on-site. Guests are NOT allowed to bring in coolers or bag chairs. Please share this information with your players and their families to ensure no one is caught off guard.
