As of now...we are planning to move forward with games tomorrow. That said, we will re-evaluate conditions at 6:30 AM and provide an update if anytihing changes.
As we all know, weather conditions can be unpredictable and may change quickly, and this appears to be one of of those situations. At this time, forecasts are showing 20-30% chance of precipitation across areas.
We appreciate everyone's patience and will continue to monitor conditions closely.
We are closely monitoring the weather conditions. A decision will be made later this evening on the status of tomorrow's games. We want to make sure and provide all parties with sufficient notice regarding and weather related cancellations. Any cancelled games will be made up on Saturday, January 3rd or Saturday, January 10th. Stay tuned!

This is a reminder that we will not be playing league games during the weekend between Christmas and New Year's.
We will be hosting our holiday tournament, The Gingerbread Jam on December 27th and 28th. If your team plans on participating, please make sure to register using the link below.
Regular season league play will resume on January 4th. League games will take place on January 11th and January 18th as well. The league tournament will take place the weekend of January 24th and 25th. The league schedule for January will be posted by the end of this upcoming weekend.

To help make admission smoother each weekend, we wanted to share a quick tip for using Paisley:
If you'd like to avoid re-entering your information everytime you purchase tickets, simple create an account and stay logged in. Once your account is setup, Paisley will securely save your payment details and auto-fill them for future purchases.
A few helpful notes:
When checking out, choose Siign In or Create Account to set this up.
Using the same phone or browser will keep you logged in, making future checkouts much quicker.
If if ever logs you out, make sure your phone's browser cookies are enabled.
This should make the process easier for families, especially those attending multiple weekends or at locations with limited service.

Just wanted to touch base before tomorrow's shootout at John Carroll. Each team will play 4 games and each game is 16 minutes long. The rules will be available at the scorer's table and are also posted in the documents section of the Big Leaf App. We'll be using our regular league rules, including 2nd half defensive rules!
Parents and Coaches,
As we begin the season, here are a few quick expectations we're tightening up this year to keep things safe and positive for our kids.
- Be positive! Cheer and support. Let the coaches coach!
- Respect officials...no arguing or confronting refs. A Big Leaf director will be on-site to handle any issues.
- Follow facility rules...schools have asked us to control running and dribbling in the hallways. It's a safety concern and helps us maintain great relationships with our host sites.
- Set the example! Yelling, taunting, and swearing should never happen at elementary games. Our kids follow our lead.
- Player expectations...remind players- no swearing, taunting, or unnessary aggression. We want them learning the right way to play and act.

Coaches,
We will be posting the Week 2 schedule shortly, followed quickly by the remainder of December and most of January.
Please note that we will only be having games on Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. If your team is unavailable that day, please let us know within the next 48 hours so we can adjust accordingly.
We will also be hosting a shootout-style event at John Carroll University on that same Sunday. Teams may use a credit of two league games to participate, or you can pay the $95 entry fee and still retain your full league game count. We will have some outside teams attending, giving your players the opportunity to see four different opponents in one day.

Coaches,
I know everyone is chomping at the bit to get the schedule. We ae finalizing our last registrations, and we will be posting the schedule no later than Monday afternoon.
The first two weeks of the schedule will be released...and we will continue adding to it quickly as we get a clearer picture of each team's level--especially in the larger age groups--so we can create the best possible matchups.
If you have any scheduling restrictions and haven't already shared them; please let us know as soon as possible.
