COACH WAVIERS - YOUTH WAVIERS

This is a requirement by the Disney ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in order to participate in any events held specifically on Disney property. It's imperative that you print and sign waivers prior to the tournament start date.
This is for teams ONLY. Not spectators! Waviers must be signed for every active person on the roster. That includes first and last name for each COACH and every ATHELETE!
-Adult (coach, guardian, parent, etc...) can sign for a player.
-Adult cannot sign for another adult.

All waivers will be physically collected at registration. EACH COACH MUST TURN IN THEIR OWN WAVIER. YOU CANNOT TURN SUBMIT WAVIERS FOR OTHER COACHES.

All COACHES and ALL PLAYERS on your roster must have an AAU Membership to participate! We allow a max of 15 Players and 4 Coaches per roster.
Roster Links have been sent to the primary contact of your team. Please check your email to complete if you haven't already.
Deadline for all roster is Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 11:59pm est.
Roster must include:
- First and Last Name
- Jersey Number
- AAU ID Number
Please input AAU membership numbers into roster on Exposure to pre-verify athletes/coaches.
Next, please include the JERSEY NUMBERS FOR ALL PLAYERS. This is imperative, as we will be pre-printing score sheets before every game. Rosters will lock after your first game. If jersey numbers are incorrect to start the game, one technically foul shot may be accessed for every incorrect number.

ATHLETE VERIFICATION
1. Proof of Age & Photo ID
Acceptable Forms
- An Passport (unexpired)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Department of Motor Vehicles I.D. card issued within three (3) years
- Military Dependent I.D.
- The current year school ID (2025-26) w/picture and a copy of a birth certificate
- Electronic Age Verification through National Sports ID (A yearly fee of $10.00). CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE
2. Proof of Grade
Acceptable Forms
- Report card for the current school year which shows name, grade and school. (original or photocopy)
- Confirmation of grade level from a school administrator (guidance counselor, principal, dean, etc.) on school letterhead - National Sports ID with grade verification.

AAU Membership
This is an official AAU licensed event hosted by the AAU Headquarters
AAU Memberships are required to participate! We allow 15 players and 4 coaches per roster. Every person sitting on the bench during a game needs to have an AAU Membership.

Types of Memberships
- Non-Athlete (Coaches/Admin) - $55 or $57 - one year or $75 or $77 - two year
- Athlete (Players) - $20 or $22 - one year
(Pay extra $2 for “extended Membership” providing AAU insurance in any basketball events hosted by other companies)
Memberships are valid from Sept 1 – Aug 31st.
Retrieval Time
- Non-Athlete - Level 2 background check by NCSI. Please give yourself 3 days for processing. Complete email from NCSI after AAU application.
- Athletes – typically instantaneous but no longer than 24hours
All AAU Membership Cards will be received via email.

Cross Boundary Athlete
All players must be from either the same state/district or adjoining state/district to participate on the same team.
Recruiting from all over the country/internationally to play on the same team is prohibited in the AAU World Championships.
Roster Participation Restrictions
a. Only males may participate as players for grades 13U/7th grade and up.
b. An athlete must play with one (1) team within one (1) age/grade skill level at any World Championship event when those Championship competitions take place at the same date and time (i.e., An athlete playing on a 10u/4th Grade D2 team cannot compete on a 10u/4th Grade D1 team at the same World Championship).
c. Athletes that competes in more than one age/grade division must compete with the same club.
d. Athletes must participate in the state/district of their residence, or an adjoining state/district, or as otherwise permitted by the AAU Code.
e. May 1st will be the date used to determine a player’s residence in a state

2026 AAU Boys' Basketball Eligibility Requirements
AAU Boys' World Championships uses age/grade-based competition rules.
Athlete must meet either the age portion or the grade portion of the rule.
Ex. 17U/11TH GRADE
-Age Policy: An athlete can be no older than 17 on or before August 31, 2026.
-Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 11th Grade as of October 1, 2025 and who is no older than 18 on or before August 31, 2026 is eligible to compete in the 17U/11th Grade division.

Here is a general layout of the schedule for the 2026 Boys' World Championship for 14u/8th - 19u/12th.
Please refer to these dates and times to plan your travel accordingly. Best advice is to arrive July 1st and depart late night July 5th or early July 6th.
EVERY TEAM PLAYS 1st GAME ON JULY 2ND
4 Game Guarantee
- Wednesday (7/1) - 4pm - 8pm EST. - Early Registration (OPTIONAL) but suggested
- Thursday (7/2) - 6am EST. - Registration (MANDATORY) arrive two hours before your scheduled gametime
ALL COACHES (REQUIRED) TO COME
PLAYERS (NOT REQUIRED) TO COME
- Thursday (7/2) - 8am - 8:50pm EST. - ALL Game Play Starts Everyone plays first pool play game
- Friday (7/3) - 8am - 8:50pm EST - Pool Play
- Saturday (7/4) - 8am - 8:50pm EST. - Pool / Bracket Play
- Sunday (7/5) - 8am - 6:30pm EST. - Bracket Play / Awards Games
ALL games and awards should conclude by 7pm.

Optional early registration will held Sunday (7/5) 4pm-8pm est. at Disney ESPN Complex. All game-play will start Monday (7/6) as early as 8:00am est. and end as late as 6:00pm est. on Thursday (7/9).
