Dear Coaches and Administrators,

Please remind your parents that admission must be paid upon entry at all playoff games. There will be no exceptions and no “I’ll pay you later.” Everyone must pay at the door.

As you know, the cell service inside these schools has been poor all season — this is not new. Parents should be prepared to connect to the guest WiFi or step outside if necessary to complete their payment.

We have communicated playoff admission policies multiple times throughout the season. This year, we will not tolerate the disrespect that has been displayed by some parents and fans regarding admissions. If a parent does not wish to pay, they are not required to stay — however, attitudes, inappropriate language, and confrontational behavior will not be accepted.

This email serves as the one and only warning. Disrespectful parents or fans will not be permitted entry. The admission price is final and will not change, so negative behavior regarding the cost is unnecessary.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a positive and respectful playoff environment.

It was great seeing teams grow and improve throughout the season. The development and competition were strong, and I appreciate everyone’s commitment. I’m looking forward to seeing everybody back for the Spring.

Spring League will run from March 21st – May 31st. We will be off on Easter Sunday and Memorial Day Weekend.

Divisions: 2nd Grade – JV

Locations: Same MoCo school locations (Germantown & Bethesda area)

Fee: $725 per team

Each team will receive 8 regular season games with playoffs, certified refs, championship awards, and our All-Star Game.

Please confirm your team’s participation as soon as possible so we can begin finalizing divisions and gym schedules.

The final regular season weekend has now been uploaded. Every team should have 7 or 8 games scheduled and/or played.

If your team only plays 7 games this season, you will receive a credit for that one game. The credit can be applied toward the Spring, Fall, or next Winter season.

Please review the schedule as soon as possible and let me know immediately if you see any issues.

Please remember, there will be no more rescheduling. These are the final regular season games, and playoffs will begin 2/28–3/1.

Hello everyone,

I’ve just added some games and shifted a few matchups for next weekend. Please take a moment to review the updated schedule.

I’m also still working on 2/21–2/22 to add additional games. Teams that have already spoken with me about that weekend will see updates as soon as I secure the extra gym time and am able to add and shift games accordingly.

If there is an unavoidable conflict with the updated schedule, please let me know as soon as possible. It becomes very difficult to find replacements with last-minute notice.

Hello everyone,

We just received word from Earle B. Wood that one of their baskets is currently broken and will not be repaired until next week. Because of this, all games scheduled at that gym on 2/8 will be moved to another location.

The games will still be played. We are actively securing an alternate gym and will send out the updated location as soon as it is confirmed.

As for the rest of the season, we have decided to keep the original end date of 3/1. We will do our best to schedule as many games as possible before then; however, some teams will only play 7 games this season. Any team that plays 7 games will receive a $60 credit that can be applied to the Spring, Fall, or next Winter season.

We understand this is not ideal. We are truly trying our best to accommodate everyone, but with the circumstances, flexibility from all teams will be necessary. The schedule will continue to be adjusted to allow for additional games where possible. Please note that if a team must miss a game for reasons not caused by the league, that game will not be rescheduled.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an update and be transparent about where things stand with the schedule.

Some organizations have expressed concerns about extending the season, as it may impact their spring schedules. At this time, extending the season has been the only guaranteed option available. If we do not extend the season, we would need to completely redo the schedule in order to accommodate the 50+ games that still need to be rescheduled.

That said, please know we are still actively exploring additional alternatives. Some of these options may require teams to travel farther than they are typically used to and/or increased flexibility with scheduling. This could include situations where teams may need to play up to 3–4 games in a single weekend.

We are absolutely open to feedback and suggestions and appreciate everyone sharing their concerns. Please keep in mind that we are doing the best we can with the options available, and our goal is to complete the season as fairly and smoothly as possible for all teams.

My apologies for the delay in getting this update out. Thank you for your patience as we worked through gym availability and rescheduling.

As of right now, please note the following changes:

-All Saturday games originally scheduled will move to Friday, 2/28
-Games scheduled for 2/1 will move to 3/1
-Playoffs are currently scheduled for 3/7–3/8, unless I am able to secure additional gym time on Friday evenings, which could allow us to adjust that schedule.

I will continue to keep everyone updated if anything changes or if additional gym time becomes available. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we work to get all games completed.

I just received word that Montgomery County has canceled school for the remainder of the week, which unfortunately means the gyms will not be available for community use this weekend. As of now, all games scheduled for this weekend are canceled.

I know this is frustrating, especially after already losing time due to the previous snowstorm. Please know that we are actively working to find alternative options, including churches and gyms in other counties. Some of these options may not be ideal or convenient, but we are doing our best to keep the season moving and avoid falling further behind.

I truly appreciate everyone’s patience, flexibility, and understanding as we work through this. I will continue to send updates as soon as I have more information.

All schedule requests were due by 12/19, and the schedule was released based on the information provided. Since the schedule went out, we’ve been notified that several teams are unavailable to play on January 3–4.


If your team cannot play on those dates, you must update this in the schedule request form that was previously sent as soon as possible.

Please note:

-After this weekend, if a request is not listed in the schedule request form and your team is scheduled but cannot play, the game will be marked as a forfeit and will not be made up.

-We are managing nearly 80 teams, so while I will do my best, I cannot guarantee every schedule request will be honored.

Please disregard the schedule that was sent out today, as major changes will need to be made.

We were notified about an hour ago that, due to forecasts calling for extremely cold temperatures and 1–3 inches of snow overnight, all games scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday 12/14, are canceled.

Community use of all schools on 12/14 has been canceled, making it impossible to hold games. Unfortunately, there are no alternatives at this time.

We sincerely apologize for the short notice and any inconvenience this may cause. All games will be rescheduled at a later date, and updated information will be shared as soon as possible.

Welcome to all the new teams joining us this winter, and welcome back to our returning teams! We truly appreciate your support and are excited for another great season.

The schedule for Opening Weekend has been posted. If you haven’t done so already, please make sure your team rosters are submitted before your first game.

A few reminders to share with your families:

-There is an admission fee each weekend.
-Age/grade verifications are required for all players. Anyone without proper verification will not be allowed to play.
-The schools we use are not the best when it comes to cell service, so please advise parents to plan accordingly.

We also encourage families to take advantage of the Season Pass, which offers the best value. It covers each player’s family members for the regular season only. Season Passes will not be valid during playoffs.

If you have any schedule conflicts, please notify me by Wednesday. As we get closer to game day, it becomes much more difficult to make adjustments.

I will be your point of contact throughout the season and will also be handling the scheduling. My goal is to release the full season schedule before the new year. I will also be at one of the gyms each weekend, so feel free to stop by the admission table with any questions, concerns, or just to say hi.
