Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled game.

If you purchased a Weekend Pass, your wristband is your admission for today.

🚨 Do not remove your wristband.

If your wristband has been removed, cut, stretched, or tampered with, you will be required to purchase another admission.

If you are attending Sunday only, a Sunday Daily Pass is available at the gate.


🚫 NO DUNKING
A reminder that dunking is prohibited during warm-ups, halftime, and after games.

Violations will result in:

First Offense – Technical Foul
Second Offense – Player Ejection
Any player who dunks after the conclusion of a game will be ejected from the tournament.
Please make sure your players are aware of this rule.


🤝 SPORTSMANSHIP & ZERO TOLERANCE
Yesterday, it was brought to our attention that we had a few instances of unsportsmanlike conduct by spectators, including individuals approaching the court.

Please remember:

Cheer loudly for your team.
Respect officials, opponents, tournament staff, and facility personnel.
Do not approach the playing court or game officials.
🚨 Anyone who enters the playing floor, confronts officials, or displays unsportsmanlike behavior will be removed from the facility immediately and may be trespassed from the venue and suspended from future Panhandle Basketball events.

Cheer for your team—but please don't cross the line.


🚗 PARKING REMINDER

🚨 The Gulf Shores Sportsplex and Summerdale administration have advised that any vehicle parked on the grass will be towed at the owner's expense.

We'd like to remind everyone of two important tournament policies.

Please help us by sharing this information with your coaches, players, parents, and spectators.


🎟️ WRISTBAND POLICY
Your tournament wristband is your admission for the entire day/weekend.

Please remember:
Do not remove your wristband!!!!!
Wristbands must remain securely attached throughout the tournament.
🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨Wristbands that have been removed, cut, stretched, or tampered with will not be accepted.🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
🚨 If you remove your wristband, you will be required to purchase another one.

Please make sure everyone in your group understands this policy before entering the facilities.


👦👧 UNACCOMPANIED MINOR POLICY
Children 12 years old and younger receive free admission but must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Parents and guardians are responsible for the behavior and supervision of their children while attending the tournament.

Children may not be left unattended inside or outside any tournament facility.

If an unaccompanied minor:

Creates a disturbance,
Damages property,
Interferes with games,
Violates facility rules, or
Creates a safety concern,
Panhandle Basketball reserves the right to:

Remove the child and the responsible party from the facility.
Remove them from the tournament without a refund.
Contact local law enforcement if a child has been abandoned or cannot be located with a responsible adult.
Our goal is to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for every player, coach, official, and family attending the tournament.

We are excited to have teams from across the Southeast joining us in Gulf Shores for an outstanding weekend of basketball.

✅ FULLY VERIFIED NATIONAL SPORTS ID TEAMS
If your team is fully verified through National Sports ID:

Check in at the gym where your first game is scheduled.
Only the Head Coach and one (1) assistant coach need to check in.
⚠️ TEAMS THAT ARE NOT FULLY VERIFIED
If your National Sports ID is not fully verified, you must report to the Gulf Shores Sportsplex to complete check-in.

Do NOT report to your first game expecting to check in.

Teams that are not fully verified will be turned away from their first game site until they complete the check-in process at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex.

Official tournament rosters will be locked at 8:00 AM this morning.

After 8:00 AM:

No players may be added.
No roster changes will be permitted.
Any player not verified and on your official roster before the deadline will not be eligible to participate.

🚫 NO DUNKING
Dunking is not permitted during warm-ups or halftime.

Violations will result in:

Teams, coaches, players, and spectators will NOT be permitted to enter the gyms before 7:30 AM.

Please do not arrive expecting to enter earlier, as our tournament staff and facility personnel will be preparing the gyms for the day's games.


⏰ PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY
Gym doors will open promptly at 7:30 AM.
Teams playing in the first games of the day should plan to arrive shortly after 7:30 AM.
Please allow enough time for team check-in (if required), warm-ups, and getting to your court before your scheduled game.

To help ensure a smooth start to the 18th Annual End of the Summer Showdown, please review the Team Check-In procedures below.

Following these instructions will help avoid delays and ensure your team is ready to play.


🆔 TEAM CHECK-IN & NATIONAL SPORTS ID
Team Check-In will take place at the gym where your team plays its first game ONLY IF your National Sports ID is 100% complete and fully verified before you arrive.

✅ FULLY VERIFIED TEAMS
If your team is fully verified through National Sports ID:

Check in at the gym where your first game is scheduled.
Only the Head Coach and one (1) assistant coach need to check in.
Once checked in, your team is cleared to participate for the remainder of the tournament.

⚠️ TEAMS THAT ARE NOT FULLY VERIFIED
If your National Sports ID is not fully verified, DO NOT report to your first game expecting to check in.

You will not be allowed to check in at your first game.

The Site Director will turn your team away, and your team will not be permitted to begin its game until the check-in process has been completed.

Instead, you must report to:

This is the ONLY location where teams with incomplete National Sports ID verification may complete tournament check-in.

Please allow yourself plenty of time to complete the process before your first scheduled game.

🚨 Do not wait until just before tip-off. Teams that fail to complete check-in before their scheduled game time risk forfeiting their game.

We need to make everyone aware of an unexpected situation that has required us to temporarily take down the tournament schedule.

Unfortunately, one of our tournament facilities has informed us that their air conditioning system is not working.

Because we received this information before the tournament begins, we have made the decision to move every game scheduled at that facility to other locations.

While this is certainly not the news we wanted to receive, we believe it is the right decision. We simply cannot, in good conscience, ask players, coaches, officials, and families to compete in a gym that we know does not have air conditioning.


🚨 WHAT THIS MEANS
To accommodate the additional games at our remaining facilities, we will need to make adjustments to the schedule.

As a result:

Some games may begin earlier than originally scheduled.
Some games may end later than originally scheduled.
Some game times and locations will change.
The overall tournament schedule will be stretched to accommodate the loss of a facility.
We are currently working through those changes as quickly as possible.


📅 SCHEDULE
The current schedule has been temporarily taken offline while we make these adjustments.

Once the revised schedule is complete, it will be posted immediately, and we will send another email notifying everyone that it has been re-released.


🙏 WE ASK FOR YOUR PATIENCE

However, this situation is completely outside of our control. Our first responsibility is providing a safe and appropriate environment for everyone participating in the tournament.

📅 SCHEDULE REQUESTS
First, we'd like to thank everyone who followed the schedule request process.

We sent the schedule request instructions multiple times and asked that all requests be submitted in a very specific format to a dedicated email address and deadline.

If you followed those instructions, we're happy to say that we were able to honor almost every schedule request or very close to it.


⚠️ IF YOUR REQUEST WASN'T HONORED
If your request was not honored, it is most likely because the instructions were not followed.


We appreciate everyone's understanding. Following one standardized process is the only way to fairly manage schedule requests for a tournament this size.

As previously announced, the tournament is SOLD OUT, and we currently have over 40 teams on the waiting list hoping for an opportunity to participate.

If you are receiving this email, your team should be on the ACTIVE Team List.

Please take a moment to review the updated Team List and verify that your team is listed and that you are in the correct division.

If you believe there is an error, please contact us immediately.

If you have already made payment and your team is on the active team list, this does not apply to you.


📋 TEAM LIST UPDATED
We have removed teams that did not complete payment by the deadline and have moved waiting list teams into those available spots.


💳 PAYMENT DUE BY 1:00 PM TODAY
If your team was moved from the waiting list to the Active Team List and you have not already completed payment, your payment must be received by 1:00 PM (Central Time) today.

This is a reminder that all schedule requests for the 18th Annual End of the Summer Showdown are due by 8:00 PM (Central Time) TONIGHT.

Requests received after 8:00 PM will not be considered.

These are the only scheduling requests that will be considered.


👥 COACHES WITH TWO TEAMS
If you coach two teams, both teams must be included in the same email, and both teams must have the same schedule request.

For example:
Team Name: Fire
Coach: John Smith

6th Grade Boys
8th Grade Boys
Request: Play After 12:00 PM Saturday

⚠️ If the requests conflict, neither request will be honored.

🚨 We will not consider "same coach" requests for coaches with three or more teams.

To ensure fairness for all teams, schedule requests will not be considered if:

They are sent to the wrong email address.
They are missing the required team information.
They request something other than the two options listed above.

The tournament is SOLD OUT, and we now have a waiting list.

If your team has not completed payment, payment is due immediately.

As we begin building the schedule for the 18th Annual End of the Summer Showdown, we are now accepting schedule requests.

Please read the instructions below carefully.

Schedule requests that do not follow these instructions will NOT be considered.

Simply reply to this email and include the following information:

👥 COACHES WITH MULTIPLE TEAMS
We will only consider coaching conflict requests for coaches with TWO (2) teams.

If you coach two teams, both teams must be listed in the same schedule request email, and both teams must have the same scheduling request.

Example:
Team Name: Tigers
Coach: John Smith

7th Grade Boys
9th Grade Boys
Request: Play After 12:00 PM Saturday

⚠️ If the requests conflict, neither request will be honored.

⚠️ FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS
To ensure fairness for all teams, schedule requests will NOT be considered if:

❌ They are sent to the wrong email address.

❌ They do not include the required team information.

❌ A coach with two teams submits separate emails or conflicting requests.

❌ They involve coaching conflicts for three or more teams.

❌ They are submitted after the deadline.

Every tournament, we receive hundreds of schedule requests. By limiting requests to these two options and requiring everyone to follow the same process, we're able to honor far more requests while creating the best possible schedule for everyone.

🚨 WE NOW AT CAPACITY!
The 18th Annual End of the Summer Showdown has officially reached its capacity!

Thank you for the tremendous response. We are excited to welcome teams from 11 states for Panhandle Basketball's final event of the 2026 season!

A waiting list has now begun, and teams continue to register.


💳 TEAM PAYMENT IS NOW DUE
If your team has registered but has not completed payment, your payment is now due immediately.

Now that the event is sold out:

Unpaid teams are no longer guaranteed a spot.
Teams on the waiting list that are ready to pay are waiting for an opening.

We want every registered team to have the opportunity to participate, but payment is what secures your place in the tournament.
