Remaining pool play games today will be 16 minute halves. We have a girls high school sectional game tonight and we need to get games completed.

WE HAVE ANOTHER EVENT AT OUR SCHOOL TOMORROW UNTIL 12:00. DO NOT PLAN ON ENTERING THE SCHOOL UNTIL 12:00 FOR THE 12:20 GAMES. ALSO...PLAYERS DO NOT NEED TO BRING BASKETBALLS. PLAYERS NEED TO SIT WITH ADULTS IN THE BLEACHERS OR CAFETERIA AREA WHEN NOT PLAYING. PLAYERS MAY NOT SHOOT DURING BREAKS OF OTHER GAMES NOR RUN AROUND THE GYM OR HALLWAYS. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF OUR SCHOOL AND THE OTHER TEAMS PLAYING. WE APPRECIATE YOUR HELP WITH THIS. WE HAVE ATTACHED RULES/INFO FOR OUR EVENT AND HOPE YOU CAN FIND TIME TO REVIEW EVERYTHING BEFORE YOUR TEAM PLAYS! GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS!

We are excited to kickoff our tournament tonight. We have a busy schedule at our school tonight and Saturday as we have high school practices, a regional free throw shooting competition and an OHSAA sectional girls game going on this weekend. We ask that all teams who play the first game of the day DO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING UNTIL 20 MINUTES BEFORE SCHEDULED GAME TIME. Please let your families know. Please review rules, etc. under the documents section of the app/website.

The schedule/brackets have been posted...we had to add a couple of games on Thursday, February 19th to get all of the games in. We thank you for your patience as we had to work around multiple events during the rescheduled weekend of the tournament. A couple of reminders with divisions/schedules:

There will be pool play games on Thurday, Saturday and Sunday.

3rd grade (4 teams)- teams will play 3 pool play games and the top 2 seeds will play Sunday for the Championship

4th grade (4 teams)- teams will play 3 pool play games and the top 2 seeds willl play Sunday for the Championship.

5th grade (7 teams)- teams will play 2 pool play games and bracket play on Sunday

6th grade (7 teams)- teams will play 2 pool play games and bracket play on Sunday

We will have the new schedule up today for 2/21-2/22. We lost a handful of teams due to changing the weekend. We are also scheduling around a free throw shooting contest and a high school girls home sectional game now on 2/21. This means all teams will play 1 pool play game 2/21 and 1 pool play game and bracket play on 2/22. We can make this all work. Teams who make championships on Sunday will play 3 games on Sunday..but will have a break(s) betweeen games. If you cannot play in our event...text Matt (330) 618-1040 immediately so I know....schedule will be out soon! Thanks for your patience!

With our event moved to 2/21-2/22...I have had 3 teams tell me they need to withdrwaw due to conflicts with schedule/dates. Please let me know by the end of the day today..if you need to withdraw and we will issue a refund!

DUE TO A WATER MAIN BREAK NEAR THE JAMES A. GARFIELD SCHOOL CAMPUS...WE HAVE HAD TO POSTPONE THE YOUTH TOURNAMENT FOR THIS WEEKEND UNTIL FEBRUARY 21-22. WE KNOW THIS IS NOT IDEAL. THE SCHEDULE WILL REMAIN THE SAME (PENDING ANY TEAMS WITHDRAWING) . I KNOW MOVING THE TOURNAMENT TO ANOTHER WEEKEND COULD CAUSE SOME CONFLICTS. PLEASE CONTACT ME BY THE END OF THE DAY SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7TH TO LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED TO WITHDRAW FROM THE TOURNAMENT. WE WILL ISSUE A FULL REFUND. PLEASE EMAIL ME AGAIN BY THE END OF THE DAY TOMORROW (2/7) TO LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENT THE WEEKEND OF 2/21-2/22. IF I DO NOT HEAR FROM YOU i WILL LEAVE YOU ON THE SCHEDULE! THE SCHEDULE WILL BE RE-POSTED SOMETIME SUNDAY MORNING. WE APOLOGIZE AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE!

A couple reminders for this weekend:

1. If your team has not paid...please bring payment with you and pay upon checking in.

2. 3 coaches get in free and need to sign in. All players get in for free. You do NOT need anyone to do scoreboook...we will will handle that.

3. Do NOT bring basketballs...we will provide 2 basketballs for warmups and a game basketball.

4. Only 1 coach may stand to coach...this rule will be enforeced. Coaches...please review all other rules on the tournament app/website.

5. Gate fees are $5 for adults and $3 for students

6. There will be concessions available in the Commons outside of the main gym.

7. There will be a table setup in the Commons for all pre-ordered Tournament shirts to be picked up. There will also be a limited quantity of shirts for sale.
