Hello everyone,
Welcome to those who have recently registered—we’re glad to have you this season!
The schedule for the first weekend has been posted. I’ve also attached important documents, including league rules and policies for this season, along with the link for the season pass.
Coaches, administrators, and managers—please be sure to share this information with your parents so everyone is on the same page and there’s no confusion throughout the season.
If anything is unclear or you need further clarification, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you, and we’re looking forward to a great season!

As we come to the end of our Spring Season, there are a few important reminders and updates as we prepare for the playoffs.
Grade/Age verifications will take place on 5/30. Every player must have documentation showing their current grade level. For players who are homeschooled or attend an alternate school, please be prepared to provide documentation showing the player’s birthdate/age.
No exceptions will be made for any team or player. If verification documents are not provided, that player will not be allowed to participate until proper verification is shown.
Acceptable documents include:
- School ID
- ParentVUE for Montgomery County students (or the equivalent system for non-MCPS students)
- AAU cards
- Emails from a teacher including the student’s name and grade level
- Any official document showing the player’s name and current grade
Please have screenshots or hard copies ready, as service inside the schools can often be unreliable.
If you have any players currently playing on the wrong team, now is the time to take care of that. For example, if you are an 8th grade team, there should not be any players older than 8th grade on the roster. If your team is considered a mixed 8th/9th grade team, at least 70% of the roster must be 8th graders in order to compete in the 8th grade division.
All rosters should already be submitted by this time. We will be reviewing all scoresheets and cross-checking them with official rosters. Any player who has not participated in at least 4 games this season will not be eligible for playoff participation.
Teams found in violation of roster or eligibility rules will be disqualified, and no refunds will be issued.
Please, please, please remind your parents that family passes will NOT be valid during playoff games. Admission will be charged at every playoff game. We also ask that everyone remain respectful toward our admission staff. They do not make the rules — they simply enforce them.
Playoff brackets should be released within the next week. Please understand that not all schedule requests can or will be accommodated during the playoffs, with the exception of coaching conflicts involving multiple teams. We will do our best to work with everyone as fairly as possible.
If you need more clarification on this or any league rules, please visit our website at 365HBL.com
Thank you all for your cooperation, and we look forward to a great finish to the season.

Please be advised that this season’s All-Star Game will be held the first weekend in June. More details regarding the event will be sent out soon.
At this time, please let me know if your team will be available to participate.

Please be advised that we will not have scorer’s table staff available this weekend. Because of this, every team playing must provide someone prepared to work the scorer’s table during their games.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Dear League Members,
Please do not park in front of residents’ homes within the surrounding communities, especially at North Bethesda Middle School. We have received multiple complaints regarding individuals leaving trash in residents’ yards and using inappropriate language when asked to address it or move their vehicles.
This behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on our league. We are guests in these communities, and it is essential that we show respect not only for the gym facility but also for the surrounding neighborhood.
Consider this the only warning. If we receive further complaints regarding these issues, the individuals responsible will be removed for the remainder of the season.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping maintain a positive relationship with the community.

Good morning everyone,
Please be advised that Rockville Pike will be partially shut down in both directions today from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. For those who will need to travel on Rockville Pike, please plan accordingly and allow extra time to get to your games.
Thank you,
Alea
Hello Coaches and Team Administrators,
This is a reminder to please submit your rosters online through the website if you have not already done so. I have sent roster links to the teams that still need to complete this.
Please note that a technical foul will be assessed at the start of the game for any team that does not have its roster submitted.
If you need clarification on this or any league rule, please visit the website where detailed information is available:

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi Coaches and Admin,
I want to take a moment to address an ongoing issue and clarify expectations moving forward.
If there is a problem or concern during a game—whether it involves the score, rules, referees, players, or anything else—please ensure that parents do not address it directly. This includes speaking to referees, opposing players, or other spectators.
Instead, all concerns should follow this process:
- Parents should bring any issues to you as the coach or team admin
- Coaches/admin should then bring those concerns directly to me or my staff
We have had too many instances of parents approaching others during games, which often leads to confusion, incomplete information, or situations being escalated unnecessarily. In several cases, the information passed along has been inconsistent or not entirely accurate.
To keep things professional, respectful, and manageable for everyone involved, I will only be addressing concerns that come through coaches or team admins. Historically, I’ve also found that many concerns raised by parents are not always shared or viewed the same way by coaches/admin, and at times may be unintentionally exaggerated.
I appreciate your help in reinforcing this process with your teams and families. It will help us maintain a positive and organized environment for everyone.
Thank you,
Alea Boyd

Hello Coaches, Administrators, and Managers,
Welcome to the league and the upcoming spring season! We’re excited to have everyone back and are looking forward to a great season.
At the moment, we are still waiting for several teams to finish up tryouts so they can complete their registrations. In the meantime, I will begin scheduling with the teams that have already registered so we can keep things moving.
If you have not already done so, please email me your schedule requests or complete the attached link as soon as possible. This will help us build the schedule in a way that works best for everyone.
Please also remember the following dates when submitting your requests:
- We will be off on Easter Sunday (April 5th)
- We will also be off for Memorial Day weekend (May 23rd–24th)
When sending your availability, please include any conflicts such as:
- Other tournaments
- Other leagues
- School or travel sports commitments
Our goal this season is to minimize forfeits as much as possible, and having everyone’s conflicts ahead of time helps us do that.
Thank you, and we’re looking forward to a great spring season!
Best,
Alea
