Coaches,

I’ve heard from several of you regarding requests for game time adjustments, often due to players being on multiple teams or other scheduling conflicts.

Unfortunately, the schedule cannot be changed. Saturday marks the end of the season, and each game directly impacts the next round. The bracket has been carefully structured to allow for breaks between games, so even moving one game would disrupt the entire sequence.

I understand it can be challenging when players are double‑rostered, and I know it’s frustrating when tough choices have to be made. That said, this is part of the reality of tournament play, and we need to keep the integrity of the schedule intact.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. There will be no changes to game times.

Winter Session Updates – League & Tournament Changes

Dear Coaches,

As we begin a new season, our goal remains the same — to continuously improve the experience for players, teams, and families. With that in mind, we’ll be implementing a few changes for the upcoming Winter Session across our leagues and tournaments. These updates are designed to ensure fair competition, appropriate development opportunities, and a more enjoyable season for all.

We understand that change takes adjustment, and we’ll re-evaluate all rules at the end of the session to determine if any further refinements are needed.


🛠 Rule Changes:
No Pressing Rule – Effective Winter Session
To maintain the integrity of our division categories and foster player development, we will enforce a No Pressing rule in the following divisions:

5th Grade Bronze
4th Grade Bronze
3rd Grade
2nd Grade

📈 Division Placement Policy:
To promote competitive balance:

If your team went undefeated in Pool Play during the Fall Session, you will be required to move up one division — unless you were already in a Gold Division.
If already in Gold, you may choose to play up a grade level. If you do not register accordingly, your team will be automatically moved.

📋 Roster Policy:
Rosters will close on January 29th.
No player additions will be allowed after this date.
In the rare case a roster adjustment is approved after the deadline by the Director, your team will begin the game with a Technical Foul Shot against them.

🧠 Division Selection Reminder:
Please take time to reflect on your team’s performance from the previous session and register in the appropriate division. Selecting the correct division helps ensure balanced and competitive matchups for everyone.

🏆 Division Tiers:
Highly Competitive (Elite / D1)
Top-tier club and travel teams with extensive experience and success.

Competitive (D2 / Upper-Level Rec)
Skilled teams with some travel or tournament experience, not quite at the elite level.

Recreational (D3 / Local / Developmental)
Newer or developing teams, focused on learning, growth, and participation.

This is your FINAL reminder, to check your online rosters. They can be easily viewed from the Battlegrounds app. If your player is not listed on that roster, they are not rostered on your team and will not be allowed to play.

If in the past weeks you have written a player in at the score table that does not mean they are rostered. They MUST show up on the online roster. If you need me to fix your roster, you need to message me by TONIGHT, Thursday Nov. 6.

Important Reminder: Please check the app to view your team roster. If a player does not appear on your online roster, they are not officially rostered and will not be permitted to play.

We will not be adding players manually, meaning writing them in on the paper roster. If you notice a missing player, contact me as soon as possible so we can address it promptly.

Due to an overwhelming number of game time change requests, team availability issues, and forfeits, the schedule is undergoing a major shake-up. I’ve temporarily pulled it down while we work through the adjustments.

To help me move forward, please respond by end of day with the following:

1. Friday Night Availability (Not this week): Are you open to rescheduling a game on a Friday night only if you do not have enough players to participate on Oct. 18th.Potential Friday dates: Oct. 31, Nov. 7, Nov. 21 (Note: Friday games are not guaranteed. I’ll do my best to accommodate, but it may not be possible for all teams.)

2. Saturday 10/18 Time Restrictions: Please let me know if your team has any time constraints on Saturday, October 18.

Thanks for your flexibility and quick responses as we work to finalize the updated schedule.

We will work on adjusting FALL league schedules next year to accomodate better Fall Break. Thanks for working with me.

The full schedule has been released! Each team will play six pool play games, followed by bracket play for all teams.

Please note:

Some divisions have been split into Championship and Consolation Brackets.
Others, especially those combined with a Gold/Silver division, will feature Gold and Silver Brackets.

To accommodate all teams in the league games must be played on October 18th.

We’ve heard your concerns about league games scheduled for Thanksgiving weekend (Nov. 29th). In response, we’ve adjusted the Thanksgiving Hoopfest
dates:

** League games will now be held on Friday, November 22nd.

** Thanksgiving Hoopfest will take place Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend.

I apologize for the changes that have been happening. Fall league is always real fun with the end of football season. To avoid forfeits we have had to make some adjustements. Please make sure you have check the schedules for THIS weeks games. Also, I have added the schedule for Oct. 18th, I am aware it is Fall Break. Games will be played. I do not have anywhere to move them, so find subs if you must but have them on your roster. Thanks!

Sorry about that! The schedule is back up. Please note there have been some rule changes for the upcoming seasons.

We will have a running Clock, clock will stop 1st half with 1 minute left, clock will stop with 2 minutes in the 2nd half.

We will NOT be doing 1-and-1 free throws, teams will get 2 free throws at 7 team fouls.

Welcome to the 2025 Battlegrounds Fall League! We are approaching the start of the season. Please make sure all requests have been submitted by Thursday, Sept 25th. Please only make essential requests; not all requests will be honored. Requests after that date may not be possible.

Rosters: Please make sure rosters for teams are in by October 2nd. Please make sure anyone you anticipate having play for your team this season is on the roster prior to October 18th.

Payments: Please make Final payment by Sept. 30th.
