It is the mission of the Tuskegee Parks and Recreation Department to create recreational opportunities that enrich the lives of citizens in Tuskegee and Macon County through services and programs that promote citizen involvement and a strong sense of community while striving to increase the social, cultural, and physical well-being of its residents and visitors. Our vision is :To create a sense of community through our people, parks, and programs. Our Goals are to 1. To provide diverse and beneficial recreational opportunities to the community. 2. To manage and maintain parks and facilities to enrich the recreational experiences of citizens. 3. To teach the basic athletic fundamentals and to promote sportsmanship among youth. 4. To be a leader in the community with tackling the health disparities within Macon County. 5. To become a feeder program to the Middle Schools and High Schools within Macon County.
